The description of the spells are brief: for more detailed descriptions you should have access to the RuneQuest rules for magic. Note that many spells have a variable effect described as "X per level". These spells can be learned at various levels: but each "level" is seperate spell. Bladesharp 3 always adds +3 and 3 damage classes to a attack: neither more nor less. If you only wanted to add +2, you would need to learn Bladesharp2, which is a different spell - and a different slot in the multipower.
