The Little Sisters of Carnage

Barry argent and gules, in Venus or a heart gules

The red and white stripes of the field represents the bloody bandages which are their stock in trade as a hospitaller Order. The Venus symbol advertises the fact of their being an entirely female Order, while the heart refers to a certain mystery of the cult that is not widely advertised.

The Venus and the Heart may be displayed both together or each separately as symbols of the Order.

The habit of the order is normally white for day-to-day wear, and red or red-and-white for the field. The habit is never barry; that field is reserved for the shields and banners of the Order. When dressed for battle, the Sisters wear full armour (normally chainmail or plate-mail) with a red surcoat bearing the Venus and Heart.

The Sword Brethren

Sable, two swords argent in saltire, points uppermost, four torteaux, one, two and one

The Sword Brethren are a fanatically militant religious order of fiend-hunters, and their arms are symbolic of their creed. The black field represents the darkness of the Abyss, whence comes their prey and to where it will be cast back. The crossed swords are white, for the purity of their unswerving purpose, and the points are uppermost, indicating that the swords of the Brethren will never rest. The four torteaux represent the blood of the Unholy and any who aid or shield them, to be spilled liberally and without stint or mercy.

The Sword Brethren are, by and large, remarkably lacking in any sort of sense of humour.
