One of the more notable establishments in the city of Reic is the Inn of the Dancing Dog. It appears from outside much like any other respectable drinking hall and rooming house, but it contains many more floors and rooms, and stranger ones at that, than would seem possible in a structure of such moderate size.
The proprietor, an apparently immortal creature of no known race or species, has never revealed his (or its) name, but answers to any reasonably polite appellation. He employs creatures of all sorts as staff, and indeed the doors of the establishment are open to anyone of any race, species or creed, with the only stricture being an absolute ban on any sort of conflict, open or covert, within the walls of the Dog.
As well as providing very high quality food, liquors and accommodation, the Dancing Dog offers one service that makes it an essential stop for any adventurer worth the name — long or short term storage at reasonable rates for any item, large or small, with an absolute guarantee of privacy and safety. Naturally, the contents of the vaults of the Dancing Dog have attracted their fair share of attention from the light-fingered fraternities, thus far (as far as anyone knows) without success. Nobody who has returned from such a venture has even been able to find the vaults, let alone loot them, and there are many who just never returned. Perhaps they found them.
